People like you come to Clarity Counseling when something in their life isn’t working. Sometimes, they’ve struggled for a long time and exhausted all their options. Other times something big has just happened, and they are overwhelmed by it and don’t know what to do. And still other times, friends or family have told them they don’t know what to say to them any more and that they need professional help. All of these situations have something in common: people are confused and don’t know what to do.
Clarity Counseling, counselors in Fargo, very much believe that knowledge is power, and one of our goals is to empower people through counseling. Not knowing is something that most of us have a difficult time tolerating. It is painful, confusing, powerless, and often scary. Sometimes our counselors can provide an answer to questions or give new information that helps people move through that not knowing. However, most often what Clarity Counseling tries to give our clients is new ways to come to know and understand themselves so that they can provide their own answers. In that process, our counselors are a caring, compassionate guide as they learn to hear and trust their inner wisdom.
One of my favorite moments in my job is when a client has a moment of self-awareness, a moment of understanding, a moment of empowerment. Sometimes in these moments of clarity, they even smile at me and say, “Oh, now I understand why you call your business ‘Clarity Counseling’.”
“That inner voice has both gentleness and clarity.”
